Crossing the English Channel to France by Stand Up Paddle Board

To raise money for the environmental organisation Surfers Against Sewage (http://www.sas.org.uk) Elliot Dudley, Jock Patterson, Simon Bassett and SUPGlobal editor Matt Argyle crossed the English Channel in June 2010. In the end we raised over £8000.

In total we covered approx 24 nautical miles with the ever present side current sweeping us to the West. We encountered fog, tankers, dolphins, jelly fish and sadly lots of rubbish floating in the water.

Thanks to our independent time keeper Ian, Dom from SAS, Claire from BSUPA, Steve the photographer and both Andy’s from the support boat, the Louise Jane.
