The Gradient boot features a proprietary Vibram sole constructed from confidence inspiring HydroGrip rubber for the ultimate in wet traction. It is shaped to provide ankle support, foot room and fits securely with or without drysuit socks, whilst remaining low profile to fit comfortably in a kayak. Easy to put on thanks to a low cut heel, it’s reinforced with a protective scratch rubber upper for durability. For hike-ins, scouting and portaging, the Gradient is back.

The Hiyak is Astral’s view of a proper kayak bootie. Perfect for all kayaking, raft-guiding and river SUP-ing, the Hiyak uses 3mm of quilted Airmesh insulation in place of neoprene, making it lighter, more durable and faster drying. The G.SS super sticky outsole provides ground-conforming stability and protection while the 1000D Cordura® Nylon upper, with a 1060 ballistic nylon reinforcement rand, is stitched and bonded to enhance durability. The Hiyak is also equipped with a removable closed cell EVA foam midsole, hidden water resistant laces with Velcro over-flap and reflective logo at heel and tongue.
