Hot Tips: Backside Bottom Turns Sup Surfing

The backside bottom turn is a very useful linking manoeuvre to master along with the front side bottom turn, if you want to make the most out of waves breaking both left and right. Much like the frontside bottom turn (as covered in our previous video) the backside bottom turn is used to link together other wave manoeuvres and keep yourself positioned in the best place on the wave. There’s no doubt about it… the backside bottom turn is harder to carry out than the frontside bottom turn, and well worth trying AFTER you’ve got to grips with the frontside turn.
