Dropstitch – What Is It?

Dropstitch is a construction technique in inflatable paddleboards, involving threads connecting top and bottom layers. The quality of paddleboards varies due to materials and construction. Premium boards use high-quality dropstitch for enhanced stiffness and performance, while cheaper alternatives with lower-grade dropstitch may bend or flex, compromising stability and overall experience on the water.
