« An inspiring story of a small town boy (Ekolu Kalama) from the island of Molokai, who dreams of becoming a professional waterman. He grows up to become the first paid professional paddle boarder in history. He overcame adversity, excelled, and went on to become #1 the World, winning the 2009 World Professional Stand Up Paddleboard Championship. Ekolu’s co-stars are Ikaika Kawaii and Kelson Kihe, both joined Ekolu on the Stand Up Paddle Professional World Tour in 2010. The three became known as the SUP KANAKS. The cast is rounded out with a trio of special guest wave-riders: (1) Ekolu’s wife, Honora Kalama, (2)Jordan Kekahuna Lawrence (RIP), and Captain Ron Suffron(producer/director/waverider).
